Spatial GlycoBiology
Uncover Biology in Context: From Genes to Molecules, Mapped in Space
Explore how BioBeyond_NL’s next-generation spatial biology goes beyond transcriptomics-integrating proteomics, metabolomics, and glycomics to deliver high-throughput, multimodal molecular imaging for deeper insight into complex tissues.
Spatial biology provides detailed complex molecular analytical information in a spatially aware context. Traditionally, spatial transcriptomics is employed to understand local gene expressions data using multiplexed transcript panels. It reveals the location of selected gene activity and is often used to identify cell types in a heterogenous tissue context. BioBeyond_NL augments spatial biology through the realization of mass spectrometry based spatial proteomics, spatial metabolomics and spatial glycomics. Crucial to the BioBeyond_NL infrastructure is the ability to provide high throughput structural analyses with innovative data (in)dependent tandem mass spectrometric imaging instruments. BioBeyond_NL offers the Dutch research community a combined large scale multimodal molecular imaging infrastructure with enhanced structural glycomolecular identification.
